Q. LIVE CHANNELS AVAILABLE ON SATMAXX SETUP BOX & SMART TV SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE, DO THEY DIFFER IN NUMBER?
Satmaxx offer same number of Live TV channels on both setup box and subscription service. There is no difference of service. Both services use the same server.
Q. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM SPEED REQUIRED?
SatMaxx requires a minimum of 4Mbps to run the service although higher speed such as fiber optic connection with 10MB or better is most suitable and recommended for trouble free smooth streaming experience.
Satmaxx IPTV uses the latest H264 technology, offering the best compression and quality. The IPTV stream sizes are roughly around 4 MB. However when changing channels the H264 protocol may bounce higher slightly to begin showing the picture, this is why a 10 MB recommended internet connection speed is required, 20 MB or better for UHD channels.
Q. SEVERAL CHANNELS ARE NOT WORKING /BLACK SCREEN/BROKEN VOICE, WHAT TO DO?
Report and use the “REPORT A CHANNEL” link on Satmaxx website. There can be several issues related to non-working of channels. No IPTV company can promise 100% working of all channels since it is a realistic fact that these thousands of channels are running on thousands of multiple servers, not under the technical supervision of us or any other company.
Q. CHANNEL ARE JUNKING / LAGGING WHEN I AM WATCHING, WHAT TO DO?
- Check your internet connection speed. Download an internet speed checking software such as (SPEED TEST) and check your upload and download speed. If you experience buffering press “pause” for 10-15 seconds and resume, most of the time what will eliminate the need to buffer. The minimum speed required to watch SD channels is at least 4MB. For HD, FHD, 4K and 3D streaming a good 20MB+ connection speed is recommended.
- Reboot your router & device, and try again.
- Try replacing your Router. It has been observed that getting branded router may solve the problem.
- Configure “Google DNS” in your router to get best streaming experience.
- Check other network devices and gadgets using same network connection. Evaluate and manage device sharing and bandwidth data monitoring to avoid net congestion.
- Satmaxx streams a huge amount of data to you, and your Router should be rebooted at least once per week to clear the internal cache. So rebooting the Router to see if it eliminates an issue is a very good idea. Also check that the Router’s software and firmware are up to date
Q. ARE THE CHANNELS UPDATED? WHAT ABOUT NEW CHANNEL ADDITION?

Q. WHAT IS THE MONTHLY DATA CONSUMPTION OF USING SATMAXX?
Although most internet companies offer UNLIMITED internet monthly data transfer, but for customers who have metered internet connection which have volume based monthly data package, a 35~40GB per month data download occurs on an average 6 hours daily usage. The quality of stream SD,HD,FHD also matters.

CAN I PERFORM A FACTORY RESET ON MY SETUP BOX?
No! You cannot perform a factory reset on your Satmaxx setup box. Satmaxx warns its customers NOT to reset your setup box, since all new programming will be deleted and re-programming will be essential. Q. CAN I USE SATMAXX SERVICE ON MORE THAN 1 TV IN MY HOUSE?
You can connect (1) TV set to your SatMaxx™ setup box although can be accessible on multiple TV sets in your house by using a multi A/V or HDMI splitter (not included) to sublet to a (2) or (3) TV. You will be forced to see the same channel on all TV sets since the remote with setup box provided can operate in a single operation.
Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR SATELLITE PROGRAMMING AND SATMAXX INTERNET TV PROGRAMMING?
Satellite programming requires the customer to install an outdoor satellite dish, Satmaxx eliminates the same. Limited number of channels available at single satellite dish frequency, multiple LNBs and frequency advance management is required for setup. Satellite programming requires multiple card recharge at separate frequencies charging multiple subscriptions with limited number of channels at premium most charges. Satmaxx™ does not require any satellite dish. It only requires good internet connection to stream, offer thousands of channels at a fraction of a cost.

Q. WHAT IS MAC ADDRESS IN MAG ADDRESS?
MAC, acronym of Media Access Control address, is a unique feature which identifies device manufacturers’ registered number and will be usable when the device has to be utilized in network environments. Each MAG device is specified with a particular MAC address (UNIQUE GLOBAL NETWORK ID) that should be registered with Satmaxx server. If the users want to change their MAG device, use another MAG device, the new MAC address has to be replaced by the old one in the server.
Q. HOW CAN I TURN MY TV INTO A SMART ONE?
As time passes TVs are becoming smarter and this will prevent the owner of the old TVs from smart features and applications; however, there exist numerous streaming media players which can be connected to the old TV and turn them to the smart one. Most channels are in HD and FHD even UHD quality. But there are also a lot of SD channels if HD is not available.
Q. WHAT ABOUT NEW UPDATES ON MY SETUP BOX, DO THEY GET UPDATED AUTOMATUCALLY?
Satmaxx updates the channels list automatically in real time. The APPS on your setup box are manually installed so needs to be updated by user when intimated by the system.
