Q. LIVE CHANNELS AVAILABLE ON SATMAXX SET-TOP BOX & SMART TV SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE, ARE THEY ANY DIFFERENT ON TERMS OF NO OF CHANNELS OR QUALITY?
Satmaxx offer same number of Live TV channels on both set-top box and subscription service. There is no difference in service provided. Both services operated and offered by same server.
Q. WHAT IS THE MINIMUM SPEED REQUIRED?
SatMaxx requires a minimum of 4Mbps shared internet speed although better and higher speed of minimum 15MB (fiber optic connection) is recommended for support of FHD smoother streaming experience.
Satmaxx IPTV uses the latest H264 technology, offering the best compression and quality. The IPTV stream sizes are roughly around 8 MB. However when changing channels the H264 protocol may bounce higher slightly to begin showing the picture, this is why an 8MB recommended internet connection speed is required, 15MB for HD and 30 MB for FHD and 40MB at least for upcoming UHD channels.
Q. SEVERAL CHANNELS ARE NOT WORKING /BLACK SCREEN/BROKEN VOICE, WHAT TO DO?
Report and use the “REPORT A CHANNEL” link on Satmaxx website. There can be several issues related to non-working channels. No IPTV company can promise 100% working of all channels since it is a realistic fact that these thousands of channels are running on thousands of multiple servers, not under the technical supervision of us or any other company.
Q. CHANNEL ARE JUNKING / LAGGING WHEN I AM WATCHING, WHAT TO DO?
- Check your internet connection speed. Download an internet speed checking software such as (SPEED TEST) and check your upload and download speed. If you experience buffering press “pause” for 10-15 seconds and resume, most of the time what will eliminate the need to buffer. The minimum speed required to watch SD channels is at least 4MB. For HD, FHD, 4K and 3D streaming, it is recommended to get a 15MB+ connection.
- Reboot your router & device, and try again. Check if your router is in accordance with the speed provided to you by your internet service provider. Not many people know that the router they have for years in their house is probably obsolete technology and that now you need a better performance router. Try replacing your Router. Now the question which one to buy? Google it and type “which router is best for home”.
- Configure and enable “Google DNS” in your router to get best streaming experience. For more information on how to do that, consult Youtube.
- Try to check and monitor, other network devices and gadgets using same network connection in your house. Multiple devices may cause net congestion even though you have a high speed connection since it uses the same streaming pipeline from your Internet Service Provider. Evaluate your network and manage sharing infrastructure of your network.
- Satmaxx streams a huge amount of data to you, and your Router should be rebooted at least once per week to clear the internal cache. So rebooting the Router to see if it eliminates an issue is a very good idea. Also check that the Router’s software and firmware are up to date

Q. WHAT IS THE MONTHLY DATA CONSUMPTION OF USING SATMAXX?
Although most internet companies offer UNLIMITED internet monthly data transfer, but for customers who have metered internet connection which have volume based monthly data package, a 40~45GB per month data download occurs on an average 6 hours daily usage. The quality of stream SD,HD,FHD also matters.

Q. CAN I PERFORM A FACTORY RESET ON MY SET-TOP BOX?
No! You should not perform a factory reset on your Satmaxx set-top box without the supervision of an authorized satmaxx service agent. Satmaxx warns its customers NOT to reset your set-top box, since all programming will be deleted and re-programming will be then be essential. Q. CAN I USE SATMAXX SERVICE ON MORE THAN 1 TV IN MY HOUSE?
You can connect (1) TV set to your SatMaxx™ set-top box. An HDMI or AV splitter may allow you to access on multiple TV sets in your house but will have limited operational constraints due to a single remote. You will be forced to see the same channel on all TV sets since the remote with set-top box provided can operate at a single operation.
Q. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN REGULAR SATELLITE PROGRAMMING AND SATMAXX INTERNET TV PROGRAMMING?
Satellite programming requires the customer to install an outdoor satellite dish, Satmaxx eliminates the same. Limited number of channels available at single satellite dish frequency, multiple LNBs and frequency advance management is required for setup. Satellite programming requires multiple card recharge at separate frequencies charging multiple subscriptions with limited number of channels at at most premium cost every month. Satmaxx™ does not require any satellite dish. It only requires good internet connection to stream, offer thousands of channels at a fraction of a cost.

Q. HOW CAN I TURN MY TV INTO A SMART ONE?
As time passes TVs are becoming smarter and this will prevent the owner of the old TVs from smart features and applications; however, there exist numerous streaming media players which can be connected to the old TV and turn them to the smart one. Q. CAN I USE 1 SMART TV SUBSCRIPTION ON 2 SEPARATE DEVICES AT THE SAME TIME?
No sorry, Your Satmaxx Smart TV subscription uses your MAC address of your device to register and identify your Smart TV/PHONE/TABLET on Satmaxx server which allows only 1 subscription per MAC registration. If you have multiple TV sets in your house, you will be required to get another subscription in order to watch at the same time.
Q. HOW IS THE QUALITY OF SATMAXX?
Most channels are in HD and FHD (UHD coming soon). But there are also a lot of SD channels if HD is not available.
Q. WHAT ABOUT NEW UPDATES ON MY SET-TOP BOX, DO THEY GET UPDATED AUTOMATICALLY?
